HAs aNYONE ELSE RECENTLY RECEIVED AN EMAIL FROM SKYPE, STATING THEY ARE DISCONTINUING THE VERSION i HAVE ON MY COMPUTER AND I NEED TO DOWNLOAD ANOTHER VERSION?
I am a little confused not unusual for me re this,
Any info would be appreciated.

Very likely to be a scam, so just delete, and don't click on any of the links.

You can always check through Skype itself to see if there are any new updates.

Are you sure it's not telling you a version running on your mobile phone is being discontinued?

Had an e mail this morning in Turkish supposedly from Skype. Have deleted it as my Skype is a UK address.

I had an email from Skype saying I was running an out of date version so I downloaded the new one no problem.

Received the same email last week, downloaded new version, used it several times since. Works fine.

I too have mostly updated Skype when a message comes through saying there is a newer version. However a couple of years back I did as usual and it totally mucked things up for a while on my PC. Had to "go back in time" on the PC to get rid of it and then all was fine again. Hasn't happened since.
