I don't have access to BRS website. So thank you for posting this here. Although I haven't seen Colin and Jo for a while we had spent many evenings enjoying their company. Colin was a lovely man he will be sorely missed. Our sincere condolences to Jo and their family. RIP Colin. Michele and David

So very very sad. He was found deadinhis home on Saturday night, but as yet no one seems to know what happened,. He was a prettyfit fellow. He did a lot of wlaking and wa sinvolved in charity walks. He was at one stage, the spokesperson to Government for BRSA (not sure is on his own or with others) and wrote for a while for Cyprus Observer, as well as being a teacher of English. ~Good all rounder and will be very sorely missed. Condolences to the family.

For thos e interested, the funeral/farewell of Colin will be at Green Hills on Friday (16th) morning at 10.30a.m.

And a reminder to any who wish to go, that the climb up really needs a four wheel drive and so car sharing is a better option than tyring to go alone, and it also cuts down on the number of cars on the road.

Colin's widow Jo is back on the island with the children, . She is naturally in a state of shock, and I am sure you willall join with me in sending her cyberspace hugs for strength and courage in the days ahead.

A reminder that the funeral is today (Friday) at 10.30 at Green Hill Cemetery, and I am sure that Jo and the family would feel very supported if they knew that those who could not attend would spare a moment to think of Colin , and could I suggest that they say a prayer for Jo, and the family whose lives are changed forever . JO and Colin had been together for 45 years after a whirlwind romance - and a big hole is left in her life.

We are intending to go and I think it is going to be packed. Colin was such a lovely, knowledgeable and helpful sole and with all his connections both politically and socially in the TRNC and especially for the last few years in Bellapais there is bound to be a large turn out. We will be taking brollies with us, to help guard against the sun!

Sorry I won't be able to go today, but will think of Jo and family. I can honestly know how she feels I nearly made 45 years! R.I.P Colin
