Hi here, my husband has an Emporio Armani watch that needs a new battery - that can only be installed if the correct tool is used. Does anyone know where we could get the battery, and fitting, without it having to be sent away? Thank you for Any replies

There is a small watch shop on the way to the harbour on the left hand side who also replaces batteries, I have a genuine Gucci watch which he replaced the battery for. The shop is almost opposite a guy who sells fresh orange juice on the pavement.

Hi Helen, I too have an Armani watch, I took it in to Girne to the place where they sell them and they said it had to be sent away. In my wisdom I decided to take it elsewhere, the little man who was on the left hand side as you go down to Dome. He totally ruined the back of the watch, dented it, broke the seal which kept it water resistant and in turn voided my warrantee for the watch! It's worth sending it away if you can, would t want you to make my silly mistake!

There is an authorised repairer of Armani watches in Nicosia Greek side. Anastasios Stephanides and Son. They are in Nicosia and their phone number is 00357 22497777. Give them a call and find out what they can do.

You're talking about Des Roberts and yes he is trained and certified, although not sure whether its Rolex or Cartier. He has also repaired watches for the "great and the good" plus made a glorious clock for Charles and Dianas wedding present. He simply drools when he gets a genuine watch to look at!! If you pm me I'll try and get hold of him for you. He might reads your message himself of course.
