Why oh why would Alsancak Belediye want to remove over half the parasols from the beach??People turning up in droves & leaving because of this!!

Apart from the dust, this was our favourite beach.

However, the umbrellas, were less than useless.

Perhaps they are taking them away to renew. If the fantastic improvement to the Golden Lady by the new Mayor is anything to go by, I have high hopes.

But, as this is Cyprus, it is just as likely that they will not use the beach for public use, as the Merit hotels want it.

Whatever,at least you had some cover from the heat! Just seemed strange to remove them at the busiest few weeks of the summer.

Perhaps it was in preparation for their Beach Party?
