Urgent Appeal for 3 units of A.Negative blood.

Terry Coleman, of Terry and Molly, has broken his hip, is in Girne Hospital, and desperately needs 3 units of A.Neg blood. Neither Lefkosa nor Pru Lundy can help. If you can help, please go directly to Girne hospital, and give Terry's name. Thanks in advance.

The BRS had an urgent need for A RH neg blood a fortnight ago when they called me and asked if i could donate, which I did. I have just checked with the hospital blood bank and there is no way I can give again for the next four months. Sorry. Hopefully this will bring this thread up to the top again and somebody else will see it and be able to donate.

I am group a rh negative.
My understanding is that it is universal and go to any one.
If I am right than I am available.
Regardless, wish Terry a speedy recovery.

Does anyone have the text number that the 112 volunteers use for their blood bank that could help Terry and Molly?
Alternatively a phone number for Steve Collard??

Ref 112 blood, a request was sent out at approx. 1300hrs. this was sent to all the blood donors of A Neg in the Girne area who signed up for the text messages

My mother has this blood group type and is happy to donate however has been refused as a donor due to age.
Can she still assist in this instance, if so, please message.

oles anyone have an update as to whether the requisite numbe rof donors has been found.
I think it is such a shame that age precludes giving. Why oh why cannot someone who is fit but of more mature years, at least be allowed to give and then have the blood tested. Daft I reckon. Sorry I am the wrong group, so could not offer to help,
I hope the units have been found but please keep us updated.

It is O negative blood type that is the universal donor.
