Help!!!!!!!!

Our water tanks are empty and the water carrier from Esentepe keeps saying he is not allowed to deliver water. The water carriers are being prevented from moving by the police. He said it's the same today and is affecting other water carriers in the Eaenteoe area. Can some one please give me the number of the Esentepe Belidiyie so that I can speak with Hassan to try to establish what is happening?
Also, does anyone know of any water carriers in the Catalkoy area that may be able to help? We can't even flush toilets now:(

Try Alkan opposite Zeugma restaurant, just go up the dirt track signed Sea Star Villas and you will see the Bowser on the corner house, he ferries water all day long!

Spoken with Hassan and he said it's happening all over. I know there's a chronic water shortage but stop swimming pools being topped up before you stop house water tanks being filled. There was no warning at all and this is a huge health hazard. Not being able to flush toilets etc is unacceptable.
I heard that the Esentepe tanker drivers will gather to block the road if this continues tomorrow.

Not seen the normal tankers rolling around in Catalkoy today either! Will ask my friend in Ozankoy to see if he has been stopped as well.

I was just going to say the same thing. You can siphon water (or use a submersible pump) into your water tank from the pool if you have one.
The problem in Esentepe with water carriers has been bubbling for a while - about 4-6 weeks ago the same thing happened then it all blew over. As you say, stop deliveries to pools but not to people who need water for the house.

Thanks for your advice guys. The order was lifted at 4pm today and we have just received a delivery thank goodness. Apparently the water carriers do not know what the situation will be like next week but they can deliver water this weekend. We need that rain!!!!!!!!

There was a big meeting yesterday with the district Belediye and the water carriers and the order was given to the police to stop the water carriers taking the water as the Belediye said the levels are low and the carriers take the water for free and don't pay their rates but get paid by the customers. I can understand this but cannot understand the knee jerk reaction which punishes people not lucky enough to be on mains drainage who depend on the carriers for their domestic water supply. Why don't the Belediye have officials in place at the reservoir to charge the carriers when they take the water? I understand the pool companies take a lot of water which is not essential during such a critical drought, so charge them at source too because they get paid by the customer. I have a pool but would understand if we were stopped from having it topped up at this critical time. I do not understand or sympathise when I have no water to wash or to flush toilets.
A little logic is all that's required.

So why not start fineing the people who top up their pools from the mains water again! It is a huge drain on the water supply but it will never stop, not with water from Turkey just over the horizon..........

I don't know of anywhere where there is enough mains water coming through to top up a swimming pool. The water levels are chronicly low all over the island. Let's hope the rains come quickly and abundantly.

I think you will find that from Monday If tanker drivers do not have the relevant licenses issued by the Kaymakanlik for wells etc and pay tax for actually delivering water they will be up Pooh St without a paddle!
