Is this the latest scam

Just had a phone call from a chinese sounding lady informing me my computer is infected, she then offered, if I started up and allowed her access to my P.C. she would fix the problem, was`nt that kind of her.

This scam has been running in the UK for a while now.

We have had several calls in the UK claiming to be Windows just one big scam

Same phone calls in Australia but from India. I gave one caller a lecture about the moral obligations of being a religious person and therefore shouldn't be involved in a scam causing innocent people hardship. There was a stunned silence and then they hung up. Worth it just to stop them banging on about a non-existent virus!

Tell them as I do - I get my windows cleaned every month; the cleaner even brings his own ladder and bucket of water!

If they are windows then they will know your authentication code - just ask them what it is for verification! That is a show stopper even for Microsoft itself and you can have wonderful fun on their dime!!!
