When the seller does not leave any contact details and no response to PM.
WASTE OF TIME

yes agree. the item has probably been sold but it's not posted so no one knows. i have been trying to contact about the laptop for sale and a few also after me but no response to either PM or posting. very frustrating as no other way of contact. come on sellers if you want to sell then post a phone number or an email address you will respond to and when the item is sold please update your post to show it. thanks

Even better, post the for sale item in the 'Sales' section, not 'General Forum' section.

Denise13, I had also seen the laptop sale ad. and thought also how very very rude , Unless of course they have a valid reason for no response.
It is very easy to post Item Now Sold.

Can anyone advise - how do you edit a post to show an item has been sold?

i know you can edit but never achieved doing it in the item heading but just by posting as another post stating that item is sold is better than nothing.

Click on the REPLY button, and simple amend the Subject heading to whatever you want - and post something as well, if you like - just like this!
I thisk that if it's a thread that you started yourself, then you can change the main heading, but if it's someone else's thread, it only changes the heading above your own post.
It worked on this one for instance:
http://www.kibkomnorthcyprusforum.com/v ... 15&t=18005
but not on the thread that we are currently on!
- Or did I click on 'EDIT'? - Oh, I don't know
No doubt someone will be along in a minute to put me right...

Why would someone post a lot of items in the for sale section and not leave any contact details? beyond me.

Re changing the heading to sold - just edit the first post of your thread amending the heading - you can only change your own post.
