No I am not buying anything, and I hope this is not off thread, but talking to someone today who waas delighted at finding someone towork for them throughthis board, I ca see how effective it hs been fo Linda in selling her items. I am so pleased fo her and delighted that kibkom is serving the public well. Agreed?
Hope you manage t sell the rest and that your move will not be traumatic but smooth nd that your guture in U.Kwill be good. Sorry you are leaving. Although I don't know you (I think), so many nice people are leaving that it is getting lonely.

Hi Loxley
Without being too inquisitive, and not wishing for you to have to reveal anything you dont want to.
Is there any specific reason(s) for you returning to UK and after how long in TRNC
U can use my email if preferred

Having said I am not interested, i have just seen yu have a shaggy rug and a couple of other rugs (what colours, and are they still available) in which I might be interested.
as to the reason for your leaving, yes, I am intrigued too, but so many people are going for so many reasons. having received some horrible earth shattering news today about government rules and we so called 'welcomed'foreigners, I think I would leave too. But as I cannot do so, I get on with it, but I can understand the many reasons for people going, and I think it is so sad that things cannot change enough here to persuade people to stay . But as they say 'miracles take a little longer;.

If you are interested, just one of the things I have learned is that no DJ may perform on radio for nothing if they are a foreigner. That is just one of the things that will spoil the day for those who listen keenly to certain DJ's who are very popular.
Let's hope the government re-consider!

Hi Gemini
We are moving back to the UK after 4 years living here as my daughter has just finished her IGCSE and wants to study A levels in the UK. There is not a lot here for them to do at that age. We are fortunate that we still have property in the UK and we only rented here so no problems with having to sell here unlike some that are stuck here. I have had a lovely time living here and have made some really good friends that I will stay in touch with but feel that the time is right now to go with all good memories and I have missed the rest of my family more than I thought I would especially my other daughter who lives in UK. Hope this helps.
Linda

Hi Loxley
Thank u for explaining your leaving, as u say renting was a good way of keeping the exit door much easier than buying
We' r considering renting in TRNC when we can sell here in UK but no luck so far
Good luck with the move

We gave up property in U.K when he went to Australia and had to sell there to come here. could have kept the property and stayed in the flat we had here, but alan could not manage the three flights. Since then everything gone pear shaped. so waiting for that Lotto win! Cna understand how family is a HUGE pull (and a responsibility), so I do hope, Linda that life willo be great. You can always come back for a holiday!!!!

I know its a late to reply here but as you share story about moving from the UK to Australia and selling property is quite intriguing. I wanna get info about the challenges of property management from afar. Have you ever considered alternative property arrangements, such as
trent park shared ownership, renting out your UK property while abroad, or using property management services to make it more manageable?

Maid Marion re your msg 14,
" having received some horrible earth shattering news today about government rules and we so called 'welcomed' foreigners, I think I would leave too."
Quite worrying comment, anything that you can share that might be useful for others?

Laptawrinkly. That message was written in 2012. Whatever was worrying Marion then is probably not of much concern now.
