What has happened to the cactus roundabout?

We regularly use the new bye pass, getting on at the Alsancak end. We admired the cactus display, thinking how appropriate it was for a dry climate. It appears to have been dug up. I wonder why? It was not old and tatty and it looked really nice, much better than withered unwatered plants.

Whatever the last Mayor of Alsancak did, the new one is altering (at least where he can) Obviously the new guy doesn't like cactus then!! He is having pretty flowers dotted around Alsancak as a whole and think you'll find the roundabout will be the same. It'll be a case of wait and see - he might surprise us all!!

The new Mayor seems intent on doing things properly and seems to have already mad quite an impact. Hopefully he may replace it but do it correctly.

The job had been done very very badly and was beginning to look like a pile of weeds with cacti, the membrane was showing through and it really was very poor workmanship.

We only saw it when it had just been planted. It seemed really nice then. We returned a couple of weeks ago so missed the deterioration. Look forward to seeing the new planting
