That makes more sense than the "snippet" I heard that 1001 were taking it over, I asked myself why would they have a shop out this way.
Hope they have a deli/pork counter that they have in Chatalkoy.

That's great news for you guys out there. And for all of us that pass through, on our way to all the hidden treasures up that end.

This would prove very helpful to those of us living out this way. A deli/pork counter would be a bonus but even just a fresh meat counter would be great.
Will just wait to see what materialises & won't hold my breath!

From what I have been told by someone in the Catalkoy shop, it will indeed have a pork/deli selection and veg etcMay even have a cafe but they weren#t sure about that. I know some of the Catalkoy staff are up there in a week's time to get it started so you won't have long to wait!

We fly out next Thursday so I think it may be just too late for us to benefit this time, however it is good news for this area.

The lady who ran the cafe at the Supreme said it may be next year before it opens in the new building?

Not quite sure what you are asking...

I took mollie the cats post to mean that the café in the Supreme supermarket might be some time before it reopens in the new building.
They served good breakfasts & snacks but there are many others in the close proximity just as good.
If Tempo do open in the Bluedream without a café, and maybe the previous proprietor of the Bluedream opens the old Mardos as a café, we'll be sorted for a cuppa after our shop.

Still not sure what that's got to do with Esentepe or what the question was...
As for the old owner opening a cafe... I don't think that will fly if he has anything to do with the customers...

Ooops. Don't know anything about the previous proprietor of The Blue Dream. Just thought it would be pleasant to stop for a cuppa & a toasted tea cake on the way home from shopping.

Lovelife, I posted that "snippet" that Blue Dream was going to be 1001 and that came from the owner of Blue Dream.

Tumay was a small builder who started Carringtons with his sister Burcu, I believe. His Mum and Dad used to live in Catalkoy behind the water park. I visited them a few times, they had a pet poisonous snake in a glass case, I seem to remember.

I think you'll find that Burcu's husband Sukru and his British partner, Bryn started up Carringtons. Don't think Tumay had/has anything to do with it. Tumay has a number of small developments in and around Esentepe/Bahceli and Catalkoy.

All we need now is a bank that dispenses sterling and a money exchange place and we won't have to go into Girne...

I spoke to one of the lovely young ladies who works on the ham/pork counter in Catalkoy branch and she saidthat she is moving to the Esentepe branch to run the same counter there.

Well it can't come soon enough.... although I'm not sure they need thirty different kinds of ham... I'd be happy if they sold a choice of 4 or 5 plus Chorizo and fresh pork products...
