I have a Kindle HDX and have been quite happy with it until yesterday, when I discovered that the screen will no longer rotate. It stays in portrait mode and won't change to landscape mode. Anyone else had this and if so how did you overcome it. I still have one problem that I've had from day one and which I was told was my fault for having it set up over here in TRNC, rather than in the UK i.e. when I try to download things like BBC iPlayer, a message comes up saying "unavailable in your part of the world" or words to that effect. Is there someway that I can overcome this, or am I stuck with it. Thanks.

Have you tried swiping down from the top of the screen and checking if the screen rotation lock is on, it is the icon on the left hand side. You will not get bbc iplayer or similar sites if you are not in the UK unless you have a VPN on your device which "fools" websites into thinking you are using a UK ISP.

Hi I don't have your model but when I have had a problem I've re booted it. Hold down your off button for 10 seconds. Amazon have a good live chat line for kindle problems. As for bbc I player etc, I think the information you been given on that is correct. If you get back to England try and do it there.
