Hi i am buyıng a small LCD TV/DVD flatscreen for my sons bedroom, can anyone tell me where the best place to buy one locally is.

Could you give directions and address of both Vestel and halos please ?

The Vestel store we went to is on the road to Alsancak, on the right as you're driving out of Kyrenia. Can't remember exactly where it was, but it's set back in one of the little shopping arcades you get along the roads. I think I did see another Vestel in Kyrenia, again on the right hand side as you're driving towards Alsancak-Lapta.

I think that Vestel is actually a manufacturer (brand name) for Electrical / Electronic appliances.

There are, as the previous post suggests, one or two retailers with prominent Vestel signs - I suspect that Vestel sponsor their shop signs, much as Efes do with bars, restaurants, and small markets...

The Vestel shop is in Karalonuglou, it's in the parade of shops next to the petrol garage. I think Vestel TV's are made by Samsung.

Technomar( I think thats the name) had one the other day, I think it was 26" flat screen for 600 TL, dont know if thats a good price or not.

Lor51, That would be Techmar, opposite the Lemar in Karakum.

I thought from the initial post that they were looking more for a DVD player with a small integrated display - but it wasn't really specific as to what 'small' was

Arcelik are fine and you get good warranty and after sales service.

I'd back up lor and keith, techmar are nice people to deal with

they have their own "lecla" value brand made in china and the tv's
come in many sizes even including a 3D incarnation

bought a 32" lecla from them and very pleased, includes usb inputs

...they are also an agent for "multimax" as discussed elsewhere

one thing to watch with all these firms, boxed sealed stock is often
kept at lefkosa and you have to negociate on shipping days

Hi We recently bought a Vestel branded tv in Karalonagolu and found the prices and service excellent plus a 5 year guarantee at no extra charge. The lady in the shop speaks about as much English as i do Turkish but she will get an English speaking colleague on the phone ( if you need it)

Karakum5c depending on what small size tv you are looking for; we have 19", 26" and 32" TVs in stock. The 19 and 26" are available in Lecla brand and the 32" is available in both Lecla and Hitachi. We are the main distributors of both brands. Therefore all spare parts are available if needed.

P.S. determining the tv size required also depends on the distance you will be from the tv.
