TRNC Car insurance - urgently need info asap.

I have a friend going on holiday to South Cyprus and will be hiring a car ( with permission to take North ). Is there an insurance company in south Nicosia (possibly even at border) whereby temporary 2 week insurance for TRNC can be purchased?

There is an insurance booth at the Turkish check point at Metahan.

Just remember that the booths are not open 24/7 - I don't know what time they close but I know of a family who got caught out, their flight being delayed, and the booths were closed so they ended up having to find a hotel in Nicosia.

When we were living out there minimum time was one month but was not that expensive so should not be a problem to buy for a month rather than two weeks
