How many points are you allowed on licence?

I don't know whether this has changed at all but I believe it was 100 points before the licence was suspended.

Heard that you can have points put on your wife/partner's licence, this will not surprise me!

Any trafic offence will carry points, the limit is 100.
What you must remember these points drop off after a year, BUT if you have another trafic offence within this year the points do not drop off.
You need one full year without any offence before the oldest points go, and so forth.

Does any one have the up to date price of renewing licence please

Not sure about one year, I think 130tl, but definately for 2 years 200.20tl and for three years 270tl. 3 years was still the max they would allow for non cypriots.

Just a point of interest I went down yesterday to renew my TRNC Licence.

I was informed that they are no longer doing a 1 yr licence they are only doing 2& 3 yr ones.

Where do I go to renew licence?

The tax office at the rear of the hospital

Where do you go to get a first time TRNC Licence, would this too be the Tax Office behind the hospital and could anyone tell me what paperwork they would expect me to have as well, thank you.

It used to be points drop off after 15 months not sure if it's changed to a year or from a year or a year at all...

I can asure you it has never been 15 months.
You have to have 12 clear months before any points drop off. If you get more points then the 12 months starts from that date again.
If you reach 100 when you go to pay, the police take your licence for 3 months, at which you have to return to after 3 months to pick it up.
They use to have a glass cabinet on the wall with all the licenses in on display in the trafic office but that seems to have gone now.
