Has anyone travelled with Pegasus and put a package in the hold that is to big for a suitcase.I note on their website you can pay a fee of £40.00 if it's classed as 'other' under sports items I think it was.what I want to know is the item counted towards your free 20KG allowance or is it in addition to your free allowance giving 20 KG plus the package.
I have emailed Pegasus and they actually replied to say they were looking into it that was four days ago, I can't reply to email as its one of those don't reply emails.
Anyone any experience of this?

Hi I have travelled with large cardboard/plastic boxes the weight of which formed part of my luggage allowance. You can buy extra allowance in 5kg increments for £30 in advance, think it is £45 at Stansted, I presume you are coming to TRNC with it rather than the other way round.

Lotti I sent feedback about my seats 2 d and e which I paid extra for supposed extra leg room,if anything less leg room as up against bulkhead plus the first row are narrower, received email (like you a no reply type) but hey yesterday to my absolute amazement another email saying a refund was on its way. so hopefully you will get a reply before you need to fly.Off topic but just pointing out you may get a reply.

Thanks for that. With the package I will be bringing more than 20KG.ThE package in the hold will be about 15KG.i was then hoping to bring a 20 Kg suitcase as well.but on their website I can pay £40 for the package but it doesn't mention whether this is part of my allowance.Thinking about it though, if it is part of my initial 20kg why would I pay £40.00.
Anyway I will await their reply but I bet it wont to commit to the information I require. And people call Ryanair and easy jet for being vague.

We brought from Stansted a huge tube containing two fishing rods. It had to go through outsize baggage and weighed 14kg. My normal case weighed 16kg and we had paid for 10kg of extra luggage allowance. So we go to the checkin as normal. They weight the two items together and label them and as long as their combined weight for one person equates to what you've paid for they didn't charge us any more.
You then take the labelled outsize parcel to the outsize checkin for scanning.
Key thing is that the weight is right by person. We couldn't combine luggage allowance for the two of us.

Thanks Mrs D,That's why I am confused, I can see what and why you did it but in Pegasus website there is a section about 'other' items to be carried in the hold costing £40.00 upto a certain weight. The excess if booked on line is £6.00 per kilo over 20kg so I would guess you paid £60.00 for your 10kg.The question is what's the £40.00 for if I have to pay £6.00 per kilo.
On Ryaniar you can pay £50.00 for an item that's not a bag to be put in the hold but you still get your normal weight allowances albeit you have to pay.
The trouble is I need to be certain before travelling as the cost if added at the airport would rise to £10 per kilo.

Cally, this is what I mean it's confusing,on the website it says you should have been charged £10.00 per kilo if not bought in advance.
Anyway I have re emailed Pegasus and tried to explain it as simply as I can.
