Hi Steve

Most new born carry alongside come as 3 in 1 ,car seat ,pram attachment and carry swing type with handle .
This then upto 9 months I think fastest into the car in forward front with seat belt around front etc .

So what I am saying if you are going over with a new born you can take the carry along on the plane,the pram in the hold and attach when there .


Make sense ? If you are in UK now I have one you could have and keep to take baby there etc

Hi Kavenkoy, Thank you, it's for our 6 week old grandson, who is arriving from Italy on Wednesday with his parents, they're here for 2 weeks. We have bought a pram here, but didn't think of the newborn baby car seat, with carrying handle etc. until today. I'll make a few phone calls to friends here. Might also get an answer on here. Thanks again.

Hi, if you dont get an offer on here it may be expensive but ask in some of the bigger car hire companies as they are often offered with rental cars, as its now out of season they may be glad of a few extra pennies, you never know.

I am sure car companies offer this option if told in advance
However some of my friends who have come here with a wee babe in arms bring the whole thing as described before - it seems to be the sensible way for folks to travel with wee souls these days - wish it had bee when it was my time!

i have a car seat you can buy or borrow from tuesday 3rd if that is any use. it is a maxi cosi carseat from new born to 1yr. i am based in dogankoy.

First of all, congratulations on becoming a grand parent.

I have a baby lounger/bouncer suitable for a newborn that you can borrow if you wish? You lie the baby in it and strap them in. The baby can see you at all times and you can see baby and move it around when you like. I used it for my granddaughters when they first came out here. Call me if you want to borrow it. My grand daughters bought me a little sign which reads: If I'd known that Grandchildren were so much fun, I'd have had them first !
