Does anyone know if there is a sports Direct store in south Nicosia? Also how to get there from Ledra Street. Thanks

Yes there is. but you will need to know a little about Nicosia.
At the border turn left and follow this road untill you reach a set of light, ( this is pedious Bridge ) turn left and go to the roundabout, at the roundabout take the third turn left and follow the City moat round. This is the hard bit, it is about 3 ktr round but look for a tyre place on the right ( it looks like a small circus tent with adverts, at these lights turn right, follow this to the next set of lights, you will pass the Rover garage on the left, turn left, it is quite narrow but you need to get into the centre lane and turn right.
On your right about 200 mtr is Anthanedies ( this is the cheap supermarket ) keep going until you reach the next lights, about 150 mtr on the left is Sports Direct and on the othe side of the road is Lidhl's.
When you follow the old moat around Nicosia the wall finnishes, you have gone about 300 mtr to far.
I hope this helps you find were you are going, we lived in Nicosia for over three years so we know how to find our way round.

What is the name of the very big sports shop in The Mall right next to Ikea?

Isn't this a Sports Direct? If it is, will it be easier to find than the one mentioned above?

The sports shop in the mall is Inter Sport, it is not sports Direct.

Think the one at Mall of Cyprus by Ikea is Sports Direct.If not its changed recently.

The sport shop in the large mall by Ikia has always been Inter Sport since the mall opened.
Sports Direct has only been opened in Nicosia for 2 years opposit is a large Lidhl supermarket.

Your welcome. As you may has seen we lived in Nicosia for three years long before the malls opened, but have kept in contact with a few Cypriot friends.
I would encourage anyone from the north to drive around the old town of Nicosia and see were it brings you out. The dual carrageways are quite new turn off and have an adventure.
The cheap supermarket mentioned in my earlier post ( Anthanedies ) has been trading for a very long time ( before 74 ) and is by far the busiest supermarket in Nicosia. The next oldest is what is now called Alphamega, before it was called Charalambides but with out the satalite shops and restaurant, it was always the Harrods of Nicosia and by many counts it still is.
