Thanks for the link, I will have read tomorrow and see what the news is like.
Most of the English news in the North is cut and pasted, meaning we have read it in a UK news paper or a South news paper.

Let's be honest, there is nobody in the North who seems interested in keeping CURRENT news up to date, certainly not BRT (the voice of North Cyprus in English!!) who have one news broadcast at 2pm. I finbd I often get more up to date information on Kibkom.

I agree with the above and without being offensive, how much news is there in North Cyprus on a daily basis. The link I provided is more likened to a daily Diary, with everyone swirling around the same news when it's produced.

You must remember who write's the script, and it is not BRT or the govermet. BRT only tell you how many times each President has been to the toilet over the last week.
If you listen to BRT news at 14.00 it starts with>>>>
The President ??? had a meeting.
The minister for?? had a meeting.
This minister visted ???
that is the end of our news.
BRT has never given world news. Now you can guess why??

Accurate happenings are as rare as hens teeth in the ole TRNC, I enjoy LG news but at the end of the day it's a cut n paste site, with no professional journalistic input.
It would be good to see some hard nosed professional investagetive journalism here, opening the book on corruption, , dogey solicitors. Slave labour, nepotism, and the like. The journalists would end up get shot every few weeks, which creates more news

Oh yes, I'd like to see that as well. I suspect I may have to wait until hell freezes over though.

Yes! Not a lot of free speech unless your batting for the official rant, had it on good info that the ole Cyprus 44 site was closed down by the owner as the truth was out on a lot of local builders and businesses and they didn't like it and a few words were mentioned in his ear so to speak. Yes it's all fun and sun when your here on yer hols, shame a darker side exists , probably why everybody seems to be leaving for pastures new.
