Is Akinlar the sole supplier of good quality log burning fires?

I have had a quote for 650 euro for the fire and 1250 euro to install it !

Which for one day's work I feel is a rip off

Any helpful suggestions

Thanks

Was it a verbal quote?
I ask because a friend of mine recently had a quote from him(I was there at the time so I know what was said) and he quoted for the stove in Euro, but the fitting in Lira.
Maybe you need to double check as my friend was quoted about TL1250 for the fitting and pipework-just a thought.
I am not aware of any other suppliers in the north, but I would think there are more in Lefcosia.
Super home centre and Leroy Merlin both in the South, have a good selection,If you want to risk bringing one back.

I just had one fitted by them and a marvelous job they did too - my prices were quoted in Euro's for the burner and Lira for the chimney and fitting

On the same note is there anyone else who supplies cast iron, gas fires?
I ask because a friend went to Akinlar at our recommendation, and was very rudely treated by the lady at the Akinlar showroom.

We,ve just had one fitted by Stone Art in Lefcosia, a brilliant job at a fair price.

I agree, we had Akinlar install our wood burner. The stove price was in Euros and the fitting in TL. An excellent job and very clean workmen also very local to Girne and will quickly deal with any questions.

We purchased a wood burner from Stoneart on Saturday. My husband is installing it himself. The fire was 499 euros and then approx 600tl for the pipe work. If they install it the charge is 250 euros .

Hope this helps.

Just to let you all know cost effective pellet burners and boiler systems are now being imported to the island as we speak along with the bags of pellets. Much more efficient burning.
