For over a day now I cannot send an E-mail from hotmail account .
Message keeps coming up Error.
Any one else had or experiencing this problem?

I have sent and received emails via hotmail with no problems.

Just sent another to double check before I replied

I have just sent one and it was delivered OK!

Strange ?? I have closed everything down and it still is happening ??

Are you using an ipad? My wife is having the same problem on her ipad.
No problem on the laptop.

Hi Rodney . Yes the problem is on my IPad.

For several weeks now and starting at the same time both my iPad and my husbands iPad have both received emails as usual but we are unable to send emails . It doesn't matter to what address eg hotmail or gmail or talktalk or btinternet. Com etc non of the emails will go and come back with error " your email address has been rejected by the server" . however emails WILL send from our Apple Mac computer which seems strange. The other strange thing is if we take our iPads to a local bar or cafe to try to send emails we get the same error message. BUT ON two occasions we have tried 2 different hotels and our emails have been sent successfully.
We are not sure if the problem lies with changes made by BT in the UK as we both have btinternet email addresses.
Is there anyone out there with enough IT knowledge to help us please??

Ok so I'm help everyone out. I experienced this same problem and didn't know at first what was wrong. So I decided to check with my hotmail account first and I found the problem. Hotmail has a new thing called the two step verification with this new crap they started that help prevent hackers you have to download a app call hotmail activator but this is only for retrieving your password on your computer. Once your clear of all that headache.
Access your hotmail then go to the security settings in your hotmail account scroll down. Don't turn off two step verification because your going to need it. Scroll down to App password
Hit the learn more about app password then read
It will take you to a list of devices you can add your hotmail to
Go to I sync my outlook.com email to my iPhone
Click this
Then read follow the steps
1. Go to iphone settings and tap mail,contacts,calendars
2.tap your Microsoft account (outlook,exchange)
3.visit your security info page online to get app password
Click the this security info page
It will give you your password that you must use instead of you log in for you access to your hotmail
Tap done or next on your phone and the hot mail will verify.
Then thank me for the right answer.

Don't know if it works as I have got anything apple iPad with IOS on it.
