DHL Deliveries to NC - CAFE BOSS?

Hope someone out there knows this answer.

I am looking to order an item that gives a delivery option of DHL (I like this idea as I know it should arrive).

Do all DHL parcels go automatically to Cafe Boss, if so how do they tell people they have arrived.

If not then do they just get delivered to local post office and I have to collect from there? Is it best to make sure it goes to Cafe Boss (do I have to give their address as delivery address for the parcel, if so does anyone know how to contact Cafe Boss?)

Thanks in anticipation.

Michelle

If the Item you are ordering has a large money value ( ie £100 ) or more, you will be charged import duty.
You could always have it sent to DHL Nicosia, if it is coming from an EU country there is no TAX's on the item.
The TRNC do not give this concession.
If you need directions or address in the South please contact me, I have had quite a lot of things sent to DHL in the South.

The parcel is coming from China (but order placed in USA) so I will be liable to duty wherever it comes in to but its value is £170 so wont be too bad.

WHereabouts is the DHL office in the SOuth for future reference, is it walking distance from the border or would I need to drive as it would then cost me to have additional car insurance so probably cheaper to just pay the duty here.

THanks

I have been trying to phone Cage Boss on the above number re sending a document to UK, but getting a message in Turkish . Could anyone be kind enough to tell me their opening hours, and also give directions from Ozankoy direction. I have an idea it is somewhere on the right past the old Tempos but cant remember which turning - if so directions from the old Tempos travelling West would suffice.

Café Boss is in the street to the left of the HSBC bank in Girne. Not sure where the old Tempo's was/is.

Shell232.
I would still advise useing Dhl in the South with this value.
DHL will clear and pay the customs for you at a very small cost, the import duty is less than the TRNC.
I imported a piece of equpment for my boat from the USA, it was cleared and sent to Nicosia for collection, I paid £cy3 handling charge allbeit was a few years ago,but the customs duty is still less in the South.
You could always contact DHL Cyprus and ask what the import duty would be on the Item, they have a web page, if you have any problems I have a telephone number of one of the Managers.

Thanks everyone for the feedback, does anyone know the directions to the DHL office in South Nicosia, is it walkable from the border crossing in the centre of Nicosia?

DHL office is not walkable, if you drive as if you are going to Larnaca airport when you get to the trafic lights at the old Orphanedies turn right take the seconed left the office is about 500 mtr on the right. The trafic lights are the last set before you get to the motorway roundabout with the coloured balls.
