Good service from Tesco

I ordered clothing from Tesco online some time ago. After confirming they send to Cyprus [the other side] I placed my order although I never stated I lived in the North. To cut a long story short ... I never got the clothing. However, after consultation with a helpful Tesco and their delivery service I finally got my original order shipped to Aramex's depot in Nicosia where I picked it up this afternoon. I got the clothing in record time for Cyprus as the re-order only took 11 days from ordering to picking it up. I did use a PO Box number in Nicosia. What a result! I can now browse Tesco's clothing and have it delivered at very little cost as the last order only cost £10 delivery. Well done the Tesco customer relations department.

Wow, just ten pounds delivery! That's very good. I gave a po box on the south side, and mail is guaranteed to get there every time. Might give it a go..

I know it's off topic but how do you go about getting a PO Box in the south please? Any info re documentation needed would be helpful.
thanks

Lilnrob you need to go to a South Cyprus PO and see if they have any spare boxes. There is one near the Metahan crossing but not sure if they have any spare. Might be worth a look. Good luck.

The reason you did not get it delivered to your PO Box is that PO = Post Office and it is only the Post Office that deliver there. It would have been at the depot that sent the goods ie Fedex/DHL/TNT etc. This happened to a friend who had a box sent to my address, it came via DHL and had to be collected from their depot in Nicosia.

Thanks for that carrierbag but what I really wanted to know is do you need an address in the south to have a PO Box - presume they need a contact address

I have a PO Box at the Post Office near the Metahan Crossing. Went to the office, asked for a form, gave my address as Girne and paid my money (30 Euros per year, if I remember right). Absolutely no problems.

Many thanks for your replies - looks simpler than I thought it would be. Will give it a go.
