Hi For the past couple of weeks I have been unable to receive texts from TRNC to my O2 phone in uk, anybody else experienced this ? I can send ok and they are received. (confirmed via phone calls)

Yes i have the same problem sending texts to uk fron trnc via turkcell to o2 i am being charged and states sent but o2 uk not recieving ok the other way around.
o2 say it is a problem with turkcell but dont see how it can be because all other networks receive them

would be interested to know if anyone has any ideas on how to solve this issue

Maybe try using Viber, or WeChat or WhatsApp, or one of the myriad of other messenger services.

All free on wifi or part of a 3G package.

I gave up sending texts to the U.K. costs bundles and a lot of them never arrive ? I use e-mail now most people can get e-mails directly to their phone these days.

I use Viber and WhatsApp both in the UK and North Cyprus and there has been no problems so far.

I am with Turkcell and have a basic Nokia brick, no whistles or bells. I received a LOCAL text message sent on 26th Oct on the 10th November!!!!! Can any whiz kid explain?(should have said TRNC -TRNC)

I receive texts from my daughter in Hong Kong, when I try to reply I get a message saying message sent, later get a text saying delivery failed.

This started happening about 2 months ago.

I am with Telsim.

How bizarre
My wife had used her uk phone to text friends that morning and no reply was received
we were sat in the corner house that evening at 19:50 she sent me a text from her uk mobile to my uk mobile
Both are on "3" network
I recieved the text at 10:50 the next day

And we thought the post was bad to TRNC!!!!!!!
