I'm looking to have my passport verified by a Doctor, Policeman, Solicitor, etc. I don't know any of these worthies who might be kind enough to do this for me.
Anyone out there?

If you are renewing from overseas, you can actually use anyone that has known you for a reasonable amount of time, provided they too are UK passport holders.
Our kids ne-news were signed by a friend.
If you do get bank manager to sign, make sure he has a UK passport himself.

Hi
Are you talking about getting your passport verified or your passport photos authenticated for a new passport?
If its your passport photos as long as you can still be recognised by your old passport photos (not changed too much) then you should not need to get them verified, it used to be on the small print on the passport form but not sure if it states the same now they have gone to online applications.
It would be worth checking.

I renewed mine beginning of year and didn't need verification, the link on BRS website for the form renewing from overseas was so simple and you can track it. I used cafe boss to DHL and no problems at all. Contact Steve at the cafe he will advise you better than me......
Good luck

Yes, provided you have not changed drastically you do not need the countersignature.
I renewed a while ago and had no problem.
Mind you, I have always looked haggard!

If you renew on line - no probs. My husband asked me the same question the other dya, but I had already witnessed a friend go down the on line path. So fret not, - go internet.

I you need the signature for proof of idenitty (ie not Passport) a Notary will certify "True copy" of passport and other documents for about 40TL. There is one in the Parade of Shops alongside Karakum Lemar
