Does anyone know where I can find a shoe/boot repair service in or around Girne?

If you stand looking at Kombos taxis at the roundabout, to the left is a alleyway going round the back the shoe guy is about 30 mtr on the left down the alley.

If you live the Karaoglanoglu side of Girne then go to the guy round the corner just down from the PO. He's magic and will even make shoes and boots from scratch. Repairs suitcase and bags as well. This subject comes up quite a lot and you can read peoples comments if you go into search. Most questions are asked more than once!

Sad to say we hardly know Gaza at all, I keep saying we must go up there more often.

Yes, I do, northerngirl, go to the Bus station by the Thursday/Persembe Pazaar. There is a quadrant of little shops inside and outside the quadrant(some very interesting). If you look at it from the outside from the road side, walk around the left of it, first or second small shop there is a shoe and everything leather repair man. I've watched him repair the most amazing fashion heels and make a really good job of it. He's great, speaks no English but if you show him, he seems to know what you want. Outside the shop hang various dog collars. Ask the man at the Girne bus ticket office if in doubt. he speaks English and he's just round the corner on the road side

There is a very good cobbler along the Girne main road just before Wednesday market. He is next door to "Hudantas" shoe shop and coming from Alsancak way you can do a left just before his shop to park down a little street.
