My TC neighbour is looking for a qualified dog trainer to help train a young and very energetic 14 month old Hunting dog.
The trainer must speak fluent Turkish.
Thanks.

There is a centre in Lefkosa. Phone no. 03922258372. Mobile 05428500542.Web site is
http://www.k9center.tripod.com. In Turkish and English. They also have a Facebook page - k9 Rabin. Met someone a couple of years ago who went to them. I took the info for my sisters dog. She didn't need them though. Hopefully the numbers etc are still correct.

The website doesn't appear to be functioning currently, but the landline number is correct according to the
TRNC online telephone directory: -
- RABEN K 9 TRADING CENTER LTD. ,
2258372 (Telefon),
1. S. No.9 Yeni Sanayi Bölgesi Lefkoşa.
I can't verify the mobile number (well, not without actually ringing it ), but it is the same number that has been given previously.
There was a thread on the subject some time ago, on the sadly defunct
Cyprus 44 Forum, that had a few handy tips, and also praised the Lefkosia centre.
The email address,
info@K9Raben.com , may not work if their website is down though...

Is the neighbour wanting the dog trained for hunting purposes or just to be obedient as a pet? In either case good for him for realising the importance of training.
If for hunting perhaps he should contact the Hunting Federation - they encourage responsible hunting and if this does not include dog care and training perhaps it should and he could suggest it to them
Otherwise maybe one of the Vets knows of someone suitable Turkish speaking.
I dont want to start another debate on hunting: I dont like it myself but we can change it and if it has to be done surely at least it is better it is done responsibly.
There are plenty of sites in English about training dogs to be found by Googling them. Surely Google Turkish will have some?
