They do fantastic home cured gammon joints as well. You have to order in advance though.

Mick, If the English Butcher still has his shop in Ozankoy village, he's your man!
He is / was on a street that runs between the two parallel E / W roads that run through the village (hope that makes sense!)

Andrew,
I'm sorry to hear that - his specialty sausages were a treat, and he was a lovely man to boot.
My other half went along for a cut of Pork Leg one Christmas, and Steve was out, so to get over the language problem the TC who was left in charge, invited him into the freezer, and asked him to point to the part of the pig's carcass that he wanted...
He pointed to the desired section of the leg, and the TC proceeded to Butcher the carcass, joint the entire leg and then wrapped it up. He was too embarrassed to try and explain that he only wanted a relatively small cut, so departed, laden down with several Kilos of Pork - we were eating it for weeks after!
I did point out that there was always a notice on the counter, saying that if customers needed an English speaker then they should ring the number clearly indicated below - "Oh, I never saw that" was the response.
Has the shop gone then? (I don't get out much)
.
Mick, it looks as though you're going to have to 'Go West, young man'
