I sent an email today about another matter and asked about this. Was told that ALL Creditwest's customers will be invited but they have not finished sending the emails yet. Nesrin is on leave and will do all her clients when she gets back.

Get your party frocks out girls!

We went to one some years back and arrived about 20 minutes before the appointed time. When we approached the food tables, they were 5 deep with locals who were attacking the food like they had never eaten for a week. Couldn't be bother to eat the dried up bits of pastry which was all that was left. Wine was grotty as well. I trust now that people have invested a few more millions with them, things will have improved. Lets have a feed back from those who go, OK?

Free transport. How highly favoured is that? What bothers me is that if everyone accepts, Di Figaro's might just be a tad too small . Free fur coats for use on the terrace?????????????????????????? But as it is all to do with the Christmas spirit of giving, I think it is jolly good of them to invite 'everyone' and not just those who have 'x' millions invested. Nice one!

(Message to Soner - please can we have3 those nice Christmas Smilies back please.

Waddo my next door neighbour (behind us in the cheap seats) is the CEO of Credit West and often speak about todays requirements with regards to ex pat's ! no we didnt get an invite, or ever have had, but I really cant see the importance of it ! Some people on here seem to treat it as a qualification as to how important they are ! its all a lot of toosh in my humble opinion !

I think you are missing the irony in the tone of those not invited - I doubt very much indeed if its envy. It just doesn't come over in the printed form.

I think that you are being a trifle harsh there - Hob-nobs are my favourite biscuits, but I don't mind sharing them, even with expats... Image

Yea but they are fattening if you have too many. Same can't be said of we ex pats. But, but, but, ex pats are not the only customers the bank has. Loads of locals too and others - in fact just 'customers.' This is NOT a Brs function- innit?

That's it then - one mention of the BRS and I am off the list anyway. Enjoy the eat as much as you can and don't forget your doggy bags!!! Anyway, my choice of jeans and jumper would not fit in well amongst all the ex CEO's and SAS that will be there, think I will just pop down the local coffee shop and have another night playing strange card games and talking about politics and of course the never ending argument about when the BIG rains will arrive - lol. Have fun out there people. P.S. Barry, it was a joke!!!!!!

Same as looseboots, all our money in Credit West and never had an invite yet. I have been told that only the people who have to go to the bank and draw out their monthly interest to live on, get the invites. If like us you don't do this, then no invite.

Sorry Butlers Wife - I don't know a lot, but what you have just said must be just a rumour. Cos it ain't true. I know people invited to the 'do' who do not flal into this category and also have very little money. So whatever the criteria, it is not having a lot of 'dough' , it is not those with needing ot live off interes ton 'dough' (that others don't have); it is nothing to do with age and status - so...........................any advanceon those theories.

Maybe they have a system like ERNIE who choses premium Bond winners? And ERNIE seems to favour some and ignore others.

Maybe CreditWest could tell!
