Computer glossary:

Spam: a brand of cooked meat: don’t drop the crumbs in your keyboard
Post: an ancient custom of putting letters in a bright red box at the end of the street
Mail: American for post
email: misspelling) a cockney macho he man
app: short for apples – see as for spam
log: a piece of wood to put on the fire. Refrain from temptation to do this with your PC
(alternative a written record, eg kept by the Captain of a ship or airplane. Useful when the computer is off line)
Burn a CD: a way of disposing of loud music
recycle On yer bike
power recycle: On yer bike – fast
boot: Footwear, slang to kick. A way to get your computer to work - or not!
re-boot: do it again
Mother Board (misspelling) Mum’s fed up with Dad playing computer games instead of taking her out.
zip: Gentlemen please adjust your dress
On Line: neighbours’s frilly undies
Off Line: oops,, windy day!
defrag: stick the pieces together again.
programme: (American - program): something you might , if you are lucky, get from the BBC
