A telephone number you don't recognise

Recently people have reported dodgy numbers appearing on their mobiles...so if you get a call that rings off after one ring - don't call them back if you don't know the number without checking the number out using

It should be able to check the number and tell you if it's premium rate

I never ring anyone back, 'cos I'm TIGHT and it would cost me a call
If anyone wants to speak to me that badly, they will always ring back - and they usually want something anyway

Totally agree with Keithcaley
We have had some dodgy numbers that we don't know, BUT never reply back
You have to be so careful these days xx

That's not strictly true...
The reason that I don't talk to you, is that I don't recognize you, and if you talk to me, I think "Who on Earth is this strange man ?"
It's all your fault - I got so used to looking at the (ancient, yellowing,curled-up at the edges) picture that you used for your Profile on Cyprus 44
for years and years, that I've quite forgotten what you look like!
While we're on the subject - that WAS you and Mrs Groucho in Efendi's, wasn't it?
When you'd left, I said to my pal, "Who was that", and he said "It's that friend of yours from the sailing club" - "Which one" I asked, none the wiser...
