Just tried to open today's Daily Express and comes up saying "You have been hacked by the Syrian Electronic Army" then another page comes up with headed blank sheet except for heading in Arabic. Other newspapers seem to be ok. Anybody else had this problem?

I had a message yesterday stating that I had been hacked by the SEA. However, it does not seem to have affected the operation of my PC yet. I'm not well informed about these matters and my knowledge is limited. Is it safe to carry on using my electronic banking as I am hesitant at the moment. Are there any ways I can check to see if this virus has actually affected my PC.

Thanks.

Are you sure the message said YOU had been hacked by SEA and not that you visited a website that said THEY had been hacked by SEA. The latter is much more likely I think given recent news reports. To be reasonably sure that your PC has not been compromised you need to install and run a 'virus checker' program. There are many available, free and paid for - I suggest something like AVG free version to give one example.
