Wool shop, useful to knitters.

Knitters new to Kyrenia may find this shop useful as a source of supply of wool and haberdashery materials, if you already know about it, apologies.
Location is, from the East, turn left at the Wednesday market roundabout, then keep right past the Kibtec transformer station, the road running parallel to the main Girne-Lapta road. Along this road for a hundred yards or so, look for the Becta supermarket / fruit display on a LHS corner, the wool shop is in the same block, 20m or so further on, on the left. From the outside it appears as a clothes shop, with school uniforms/stationery etc. However upstairs is a quite an amazing selection of wools etc, all well ordered and tidy, with a friendly dragon putting everything back in place behind you! They will order from the suppliers on request with a 4 day turnaround. Between this one and the shop just off the high street we can get just about everything needed. - They also have a selection of knitting pattern books / mags.

Been passed the shop dozens of times and never realized. Lucky you D1, you can read the patterns, cos I bet they are in Turkish. I can always go back to downloading from the web I guess.

Not nearly as naff as knitted swimming costumes! Oh how we suffered - traumatised we were..... I tell you, nowadays our mother would be locked-up for child abuse
