Hearing aid repairs Girne area

Could anyone please tell me where I can get my Dad's hearing aids repaired. We know it's not the batteries.

Thanks Keith. As I have said a thousand times before, the only one of which I know is Mert at Med Aid in Lefkosia. But maybe there are others which are mentioned in those threads. Mert is a lovely lad and speaks perfect English - a great noon to non Turkish speaking ex pats.

I am sorry to say there is not repair facilty in Kyrenia. There is one in Lefcosia but I do not know were they are, I know someone posted the address and name on here a couple of monthe ago.
I use a one in the South after getting ripped of by a doctor here, who I think has stopped trading, it was 12 yrs ago.

I agree with the others, to the best of my knowledge there are none in the North. However if you Google Air Aid Specialists in Cyprus, there are loads of them down South.

How loudly do I have to yell it. Mert at Med Aid. He doe snot rip off , is caring, thoughtful, helpful, patient and.............................We used to go to |Mr Said who was wonderful but he die,d and now Mert is the only one I would recommend. Do give him a call. Really no need to go south and pay Euros when you have someone on your doorstep (wlel, this sideof the Green L|ine) . At least give him a try.

And why do I think he is good - because he is helping my Alan with all his hearing problems and I cannot fault him at all.

Had to chuckle - reminds me of my late Mother-in-Law.

She would never switch on her expensive hearing-aids, as it used up the batteries!

No body is saying Dr Mert rips people off, I was ripped off in Lecosia for over £1000 by a so called hearing specialist using out of date earing aid models.
What was a $1000 in the North was 980 Euros in the south for Widex earing aids and I use two. You also get the EU protection on Guarantee which you will not get in the North.

Sorry but I never meant to imply that it oculd have been Mert that ripped you off, - I did not for one moment think you meant him. But can't you name and sham e to save anyone else making the same mistake.

However, in the mean time, I repeat that Mert is terrific. He sells Widex (my husband has bought tow form him, and actually had Widex in the past too. Plus Mert gives a guarantee, so there is no worries about anything going wrong and it costing.

He is very proud of the fact that he can offer what the rest of Europe and Australia offer, and at good prices and with a good service. Again I ask 'Why go south'
