Hi,
I am looking for a tile shop that has a good selection of tiles in or around Kyrenia. Can anyone help me find a shop?

Mepas are the largest supplier in Girne & district.
From the 'waterfall' roundabout at the bottom of the Lefkoşa road, head towards the Colony.
Mepas are down the first street on the left - slow down, or you'll be straight past them!

Ermatas is very good, we have had tiles from them. They have a good selection. On the left hand side of the road before the new harbour.

Both Mepas and Ermatas have a good selection to choose from but definitely go to Mepas for quality and if you want cheaper and lesser quality then go to Ermatas

I have not been to Mepas, but maybe next time I need tiles then I will try there. Have to say, the tiles I had from Ermatas were neither cheap nor poor quality. They have cheaper ones of lesser quality than I had, no doubt, however, they also have more expensive good quality, although I guess it depends on your definition of good quality.

I need these tiles to tile the wall behind a free standing wood burner and would prefer metalic
as they would reflect the heat. Do you think either of the shops mentioned will have metalic tiles?

Hi Keith ,
I maybe explained badly what I need, I am looking for tiles with a metalic coating. These were very popular in the UK several
years ago and you could get them in silver or gold. If anyone has any ideas what I could use as an alternative, I would be grateful.

It's worth going into Mepas, Ermetas, and Cagra, and explaining what you want, in my experience all three firms are helpful (provided that you arrive
after their first coffee break ).
If they haven't actually got it in stock, they may have a catalog showing something similar, that they could order for you.
It doesn't hurt to ask - and if you don't ask, you won't get!
If you could find a picture on the internet, and store it on your 'phone, or print it out, that might save the difficulty of trying to explain it...
Or
even find a manufacturer's part number...
How about
these for starters?
