We hope it will be as good as Cyprus 44 and we are all endeavuring to keep out the bad elements that killed it.. But it is up to all of us to respect eachother, isn't it?
So why do you delete perfectly reasonable threads? Not broken forum rules asking why? Is this forum just for 5 or so very active members (also moderators) to run up stars and delete controversial comments, or is it supposed to be an informative forum? Surely members have a right to freedom of speech and to express an opinion without being abusive?

You still haven't explained though, why you delete perfectly reasonable comments. Surely my wishing to cancel a previous comment made by myself in a thread should not have been deleted (it was not abusive in any shape or form), prior to that thread being locked but still visible for all to see, only with the original comment of my own that I wished to counter! I wish my comment and any comments associated with what I said in May withdrawn....! Your own rules say that posters have a right to freedom of speech and expression, or like I said, is this forum mostly a chat room for 5 or so friends? It would be a good forum if people could say what they liked within reason, and backed up what they said, without being offensive. I really do think the handful of people moderating this board are rather over sensitive, and frankly a good debate and a bit of contraversy will bring more participants otherwise it all becomes rather boring! Anyone want a hamster?????????

Marions quote: yes, Cyprus 44 is dead and no use harping back. go forwards - long live Kibkom.
My point exactly Marions but in an earlier message you say: We hope it will be as good as Cyprus 44 and we are all endeavouring to keep out the bad elements that killed it!
Think about it.

Cypgab, I meant it. I thought that Cyprus 44 was a terrific forum. Lotsof interesting thoughts, questions, opinions, answers and with a huge membership there were a lot of brains to pick, and it was good until people started using it for their own crusades. Those ar e the people that destroyed it. So, I meant what I said on both sides. Public fora are not the palce for carrying out personal crusades on any level, and causing harm (whether direct or indirect - and whether deserved or undeserved) but should be a placee for good.
Sometimes silence is golden, and always if anyone has a quarrel with anyone, it should be dealt with through correct channels - sadly that was not observed enough on Cyprus 44 and so it was closed, and on could actually blame those who abused it and mmisused it for its closure.
would not want that to happen here, and nor would Soner I am sure - who may well comment on this as soon as he can.

to One plus Two = I think soner is the one who has to answer you when he has time.. But it would be interesting to know what other Kibkomers think about freedom of speech as opposed to airing personal problems as a disssatisfied customerof a busines that is trying to make a living.
As to this being a chat page for 5 people, well, we enjoy it and others are free to join it. I am refusing to take that as an insult One plus Two, but amm allowing that your freedom of speech is abl;e to say that, as you are not affecting any business I might be trying to follow to provide a service and make a living. And this comment, by the way is from Me as Me and not as a Moderator.
Of course I also appreciate that some people may not like what I say, and I try to imagine sayin it face to face, rather than behind a name by which no one knows me. One can then, sometimes, say things that they otherwise might not.
But - let soner speak. It is HIS forum and he is the Boss - althogh I believe he has already been in correspondence, and I am sure that as soon as he is up and running with cyberspace, he will communicate with you.

You talk about dropping the subject, I asked you to think about not continuing to contribute to it, and yet your next message is full of it.
I give in.

Cypgab, think about what??? Sorry - I could not understand what you wanted to point out.
oneplustwo, bored with this forum???
Anyone not happy with the operation of this forum, then please move on there are so many forums out there where you can have a good argument, run people and businesses down and throw abuse to your hearts content. Not everybody likes to criticise or to be criticised.

I am with Marion on the 44 thing.I thought Cyp 44 was a very informative, helpful forum.I met alot of people on there who have since become close friends. But unfortunateley, the forum became way too big.Moderating it must have been a nightmare. And once the cyber bull boys got there teeth into it.Anarchy reigned. And all control seemed to be lost.Anything went and so the forum had to cease. From little acorns Soner.Keep up the very good work on your forum.
Paul.

I agree there was a few people on 44 who courted controversy and were always arguing, a simple post ended up in a war, I am happy its not like that here x

Nice one 'Nice One' - reminds me of the 1960's Hippy Slogan, something like 'Make love, nor war'. I agree entirely, or maybe better to say 'Be l.ov ing and don't make war'.

Soner, well expressed. It is the quality of management and moderation that makes this the most valued and enjoyable North Cyprus Forum for me. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one, am I .

That C44 was something to behold, the slagging that went on there was unbelievable, best thing to happen to it was to shut down, however, those that delight in that sort of a Forum, will still be out there....somewhere!!!
