I am not a UKIP supporter and I choose to live a quiet life in the TRNC, accepting of their rules and regulations.

Ironic indeed. "Be careful what you think as you become your thoughts," is a quote that comes to mind, and also the Buddha's dying words. "Change is inherent in all sentient beings. Choose your salvation with diligence."
Yes the world including the UK is changing as all human beings do but if we cling to old ideas and desire for the the past we're gonna make ourselves very, very unhappy. If only, if only people knew that their inner self talk and opinions - limiting beliefs in Life Coaching speak - harm themselves they'd be more careful about what they thought. But most are unaware and so....Anger, frustration, unfulfillment and pain result.

I'd like to know what those great UK writers, Charlie Dickens, Bill Blake, Will Shakespeare, ("There is nothing good or bad but thinking makes it so") etc. would have to say about the contemporary UK. For they are the opinions I'd revere. Insightful, compassionate and universal. I Wish you Well. John.
