I want to share my bad experience with (Name Remove) - white goods & AC repair.

My landlord invited him to fix the AC. We were told that the gas was gone, payed 150 lira, done. 2-3 weeks later AC is not working again (seams to be the same problem) - but we used it very few times, 10-15 min. at once. Same man comes and after few minutes of checking says, you need new engine. 700 lira - 500 now to buy the engine, 200 when he fixes it. I ask if he gives a discount - we just payed him 150 for nothing - and he replies that he's never been in our apartment! Both the landlord and me are in shock! We refused his "help" and the next day I ask the Russian handyman to look at the AC. In 15 minutes everything works, the engine is fine but (attention!) the circuit was wrongly connected. Even if (Name Remove)didn't mess it up did he even know what he was doing?!
Be aware of this kind of "service"!

Are you sure that the articles are about the same person? Between posts 1 and 2 the surname has changed from (Name Remove) to (Name Remove). Would the latter gentlemen be repairing AC - he doesn't sound like someone who would be dirtying his hands in that manner. We have used a man named (Name Remove) for AC in Esentepe and have found him very reasonable and reliable.

The business card he gave me says (Name Removed) (the card he gave me two-three weeks prior to denying he was ever in my apartment). I'm just sharing the experience I had - very unprofessional!

Key with a lot of these things is to get a fatura.

OK I've 'Googled' him and can quite clearly see from the images that he's not the same (Name Removed) who is an Air conditioning and refrigeration technician we use.... Our man comes from Değirmenlik (other side of the mountains at Buffavento) and is a very good engineer and charges very fairly for the work carried out... all of which is necessary.

There is obvioiusly more than one (Name Removed). The one you refer to KeithCaley sounds like a construction guy not an airconditioning man. The card we had shows the company to be (Name Removed)Teknik....is this the one you are talking about Kot Shamir/Groucho?
