The CMC Golf Club at Yesilyurt was really lucky with the weather on Sunday, for as they report "That was the only day with sunshine all day - a good golfing day."
They are delighted to report that their New Year Trophy Competition was therefore highly successful as not on ly was the weather good, the golfers keen but also it is a full handicap Stapleford competition .
The winner was Karl Crosby with 34 points, Graham Singer was second and Malcolm Lees in third. Gary Corness had the lowest gross and the trophies were presented by Captain Steve Neufeld. The only two was by Chris Moores, a recent addition to CMC.
These intrepid golfers are fortunate in having a course set beside the blue Med, a refurbished club house and a special restaurant alongside. Maybe that is why they are attracting more members and the players are so keen to enjoy their Sunday golf.
