I would like to build a pond and keep fish , does anyone know where pond fish ie koi carp can be purchased ? would appreciate any reply .

Travelling on the coastal road from Girne to Karaoglanoglu there is is road in the village centre on the left which goes to Karaman. Approx 400 metres on the right of this road is a small white building annexed to a white house set slightly back from the road with room to park vehicles. Koi are usually available there. Alternatively, at the junction referred to there is a pet shop on the right which sometimes has Koi. Suggest you consider using a butyl rubber liner and you will find it necessary to use a pump for oxygen and provide much shade for your fish to thrive. A joint filter is also best. Enthusiasts call the fish Koi only as that is the Japanese word for all Carp. Best of luck and enjoy !
