Without checking. The stuff they sell as SAF Alkol may well be ethanol. What do you need it for?

It's sold in every supermarket!

Sometimes it's on the shelves with cleaning materials, and sometimes next to the Gin and Vodka!

If you cannot see it, just ask the staff - whenever I ask, it turns out that I'm actually standing in front of the item...

I don't think it is safe to drink. I'm pretty sure Saf Ispirto is what is often called Rubbing Alcohol i.e. Methanol (Wood alcohol) which can cause blindness if consumed....

I saw a woman in Supreme singing its praises and declaring that she drank it in preference to Vodka for cocktails - never seen her again.

The locals call it 'match' colloquially as they use it for lighting charcoal etc...

Ethanol is not the same, it is generally distilled from sugar cane, Rum is a form of Ethanol. Ethanol is also used as a fuel for high speed racing...

I was not suggesting it was safe to drink only that the quality was probably better than local vodka. Also aware of the differences however if the original poster could say what he wants it for perhaps some guidance could be given.

There is upto 15% ethanol added to petrol these days and has a very destructive property when running through modern carburettor's

It very quickly goes off (stale) after purchase so don't store a lot in cars and especially lawnmowers and power tools as the stale fuel will start to leave deposits in very fine jets in the carb causing poor running issues.

If the fire pit is for cooking over then you need ethanol, and not methanol - if it's simply for heating then it's not so critical.

Yes found Saf (96 % alcohol) by the vodka in Supreme, I've found this to be good at cleaning the old polish off my table ready for new fresh coat BUT before you try this check a small area first just in case ! many thanks Keithcaley
