I can't see anyone has posted this and it might be useful to some. It was brought to my attention today by someone who had temporarily given up trying to cross. Does anyone have experience of this recently, and can it take an extra hour. As BRS said - if you are catching a flight out of Larnaca, then give yourself more time.
It appears this is precautionary to protect us all, but a bit of a pain if you are in a hurry.

We also crossed at Metahan at 9:30 this morning. No queue and no hold up. We were in M&S by 10 am.
