Personally I thought he was great, so different, instantly recognisable. My late husband called him "the Kaftan on castors" Demis R.I.P

Amazing voice, you either loved or hated. We loved him had the privilege of seeing him live in concert.

Yes must agree some of his tracks are lovely, I still play 4 of his songs when DJ ing, Forever and ever, will always be bring back great memories of a very hot summer and Halcyon days.

I must say, that old fella bless his big soul, was one of the reasons my good old wife fell in love with me, "not sure if was his size, his look or the kaftan that did it"....
after 40 years marriage I only say:
I raise my glass and drink tonight " a tribute" to good old Demis, may he rest in peace....

Thanks for the links especially Abigail's party, had forgotten that. Brought back memories with out me having to dig out the LP and record player from the basement!
