Is anyone able to bring back an extra case for me from UK?

My hoover packed up recently which is no joke when you have pets! I always loved my mum's Miele hoover which works a treat. She now says it is too big for her and that I can have it. It is a cylinder one which will fit in a case which my family will have ready to go.
I can pay for an extra case with your airline (I am sure it is not more than 25 kilos!) as well as any petrol money if needed. My mum lives in Newbury, Berkshire, so can drive up to London or environs with it if needed.
Obviously I need the hoover asap so if anyone can help out will be very grateful, or if anyone has any other suggestions?
You are welcome to PM me for security and I can meet to discuss plans etc. anytime.
For those that don't know this I was relieved to know, after paying so much for excess baggage over the years, that it is possible to book up to 3? extra cases. They were about £30 each and I did it online when booking or after before I actually was due to fly. You are also allowed the same kilos as your normal case. Ideal for outsize stuff too. I suppose like all things it is at the discretion of the airline.
Any feedback most welcome
Thanks

LizA, Which airline did you use for extra cases at £30.00.If it's Pegasus how did you go about booking the extra luggage.

BA allow you to book extra cases -23kilo for £36/£40 depending on departure airport. You need to pre book online. With Pegasus you can pre book extra kilos (min 5 from recollection at £6 per kilo) so BA the better option if you are booked to travel via Larnaca.

Of course you should never bring a case that you have not packed yourself or you will spend hours at the airport explaining why, a hoover full of something dodgy which you didn't pack yourself is being muled by you into the TRNC. I'm only joking - but am I....... LizA how are you going to satisfy someone doing you a favour that they aren't putting themselves at risk? It's not an accusation - just a pertinent question I think....

Totally agree with Groucho, I wouldn't do it. Especially the way Security has been stepped up lately. Surely you can buy a hoover in North or South Cyprus.

Why not get your family to send this via DHL for you. I often use this method to bring back additional items such as new bedding. I send to DHL in the South and just collect it from there. Often it will arrive overnight so very quick and easy. If you want details let me know and I will PM you

Hi Folks thank you for all your replies. Sorry I didn't reply sooner but have been ill with the virus that is doing the rounds.
I agree with the comments about not packing your own case, however, all there would be in the case was the hoover and anyone would be welcome to take it apart to check it, prior to accepting the mission! Thus people are able to satisfy themselves that nothing dodgy has been included!
DHL could be an option to the south. I would be grateful if you could pm me, muffin, as I have no idea of the rates.
I also understand that there are a few people that regularly bring stuff via road from UK for peeps. Perhaps that may be another option if anyone has any details of who does this service and how often?
Thanks
