How Expensive Your Internet Really Is?

For the first time, we have independent statistics of what customers are getting for their money, for MM service as well as for our competitors. The graph above is built using data provided to us from http://www.speedtest.net. It is based on results from January 2015.
Above is a summary data of Multimax and 3 of our 'major' competition.
Multimax downloads averaged almost 10Mbps and uploads around 4Mbps. Competition average downloads ranged between 1.4Mbps and 2.2Mbps while uploads ranged between 0.55Mbps and 1.2Mbps.
Based on this data, we have calculated how much you are really paying for your Internet, here is what we came up with:
Multimax: ~70TL / Mbps / year. Average package cost is 975TL/yr. Average total download/upload of 14Mbps,
Competition 1: ~230TL / Mbps / year. Average package cost is 760TL/yr. Average total download/upload of 3.4Mbps,
Competition 2: ~485TL / Mbps / year. Average package cost is 950TL/yr. Average total download/upload of 2.0Mbps,
Competition 3: ~285TL / Mbps / year. Average package cost is 800TL/yr. Average total download/upload of 2.7Mbps,
People who are not using MM are currently paying 300% to 700% more for their connection, ouch!
You can repeat this test for your individual connection and find out how much your connection is really costing you, here are simple instructions.
1. Go to mmcyp.speedtest.net and perform speedtest on Preferred servers OR recommended server (only make sure speedtest does not pick one server from south side by mistake as results will be terrible).
2. Add your download and upload Mbps results (fe. It your download is 3.5Mbps and upload is 1.5Mbps, total is 5)
3. Calculate your (yearly Internet cost) / (your total Mbps from no 2)
4. Result is your cost of internet per Mbps of speed per year.
Cheers,
Kemal
