Does any one know where I can buy Deltamix 55SC for pest control purposes.

The shop next to the Alsancak bookshop has closed and the "Pet" shop opposite Ya Beles (Alsancak) is unable to help.

They cost me an arm and a leg last time (seriously)

When I found hornet's nest in our eves, I called Lapta Bel. and they got in touch with a pest control outfit who promptly came and sorted the problem out. No charge. I had previously seen a leaflet which had been left at the house which showed that they would deal with all sorts of pests...lots of pictures to choose from! So, maybe a good idea to give your local Bel. a call.

What do you use to get rid of termites, I have them in my front door frame??

Last time someone asked that question Karmel, people very seriously (I think) said remove the door frame and start again. There were a number of replies, perhaps you could look on the Kibcom search?

Thanks sophie I just need to treat the door till I return from Turkey, I am replacing it with a steel security door.
The termites seem to grow wings every April and leave the nest, I need to treat them before April when I leave.
I have been told this morning of a shop opposite Starling in Alsancak who sells stuff for pest control.

I used the deltamix as mentioned for termites but also use it for most other bugs including Roaches and Sandflies, it is good and "foodsafe" however BetaTek the shop opposite Starlings has closed and I do not know if the firm is still trading. Siba may be able to help.

With regard to the door frame if you have just noticed you may get away with it. It is alto a lot less of an issue with modern houses. To treat you need to drill into the surrounding masonary at the foot of the door post and also up its length and inject the insecticide in there, PM if you want me to go into more detail.

Older, traditional houses have stone faced earth filled walls and the termites travel through the earth.

Thank you for all your contributions. By luck I discovered a company in Turkey, who eventually put me in touch with a local supplier of Deltamix. The local supplier is the Lefkosa head office of the Alsancak branch that closed down

Directions to this Company- Pass Onder's, take the first turning on the right and the offices are some 200 yards on the RHS.
