No, also been told this is now open but maybe they do not just specialise in Chinese as when I* have passed I see a sign which mentions noodles . its just before Upper Crust parade. I am sure someone soon will venture out and try them all .

I think you are referring to Grubbys(?) near Upper Crust, which is a noodle shop. The Crispy Squid is nearer to Catalkoy and is a Fish and Chip shop (not sure if it plans to do Chinese as well).

Well we now have the name Grubberie, maybe they will be serving ' chinese' dishes with their noodles hence why 3 sources are saying to me its a new Chinese.
and I suppose we will soon see what the Crispy Squid are serving, only heard from the 1 source it was Chinese!

We were in there last week with Cassie he took us all round the kitchen and eating areas, upstairs and down also outside tables. he didn't mention cooking Chinese food I have listed some of the items in my post above. Going there today so I will update after my visit. Winter opening 8 am -8 pm later in Summer.

The Grubberie was closed today, no mention of Chinese dishes anywhere, the set up looks just like Cassie had at his old shop.

ifonly,
I too read the menu today, the Tia meals are all Chinese but if they taste good it is good value for money.

This must be the most confused thread for weeks! Two (possibly three) different establishments being discussed without any distinction being made... I'm lost - the original post was about the Crispy Squid fish and chips take-away and that's what I'd like some report on.... please
