Just for completeness, there is also a bus at 15.30 leaving Esentepe daily. At weekends and public holidays, the first bus from Esentepe is at 07.15 and from Girne at 08.00, the rest of the times remain the same. This is taken from the timetable we got from the bus driver.

Adding a rider to the original posting, Is there a bus that then goes to Ledra Street via Girne?

When you get off the bus in Girne, walk down to the roundabout and get on a Kombos(8 seater), once it has enough people on it, it departs for Lefkosa. Costs 5 TL and takes you inside city wall if you get off at the final stop - their office. You pick it up there to return, last one leaves around 6pm. It's a fairly straightforward walk to Ledra St. from there. From the office walk back down to main street, MTS tur office faces the road, turn left onto main street and continue along this road (which branches left) until you reach the pedestrianised area of Arasta. Walk down hill passing a cafe on the rhs into a square with wooden seating, take the right branch towards the crossing point (Lokmaci) and get your visa stamped to walk through to Ledra St. If you use google maps for directions, start at Vakiflar sokak, Lefkosa and end at Ledra St, it's about 10 minutes walk max.
