Went to pop into the Green lotus tonight and it was was closed, anybody know why?

Any good or bad reviews on meals

Had a takeaway on Monday evening no problem. He told me they had three people working in the kitchen and one more starting soon. I'll phone tomorrow to see what's going on.

Don't know if he's still as busy as when he opened but we phone between 4 & 5 o'clock and order our meal for a set time later and it's almost ready when we get there.

Probably closed for the Chinese New Year holiday.

Fab food - been 3 -4 times always been excellent!

Thanks for the replies, brilliant food, my wife phones in an order about 4pm and i pick it up on my way home about 6pm, always ready

Thanks, but pity. Would need a hot box to get it back across East! Won't somebody open one this side of Girne for a change - at the very least it would cut down the traffic!

I phoned last week at 5:15 and was told it would be 8:30 before it would be ready to collect. Shame really as I was so looking forward to trying it out. That's far too long to wait for an order and I think something is wrong if it takes that long to get them ready.
Either more staff or Cooking rings required.

I was told that they closed for Chinese New Years Eve but opened the following day. They are geting quicker so delays between ordering and receiving food should continue to decrease.

Well what can I say we had our first take away from Green Lotus this evening, it was awesome.

Greg and wife you did us proud, always a great standard of food we ate regularly when you had chopsticks.

Can one just walk in and order a meal for 2 ? or have the telephone orders blocked the service.
Just a question as we live in Girne and the long drive would be wasted.

Karmels, they are so popular that if you just walk in, you could have a long wait. Why not telephone your order and collect it later? We also live in the 'East', so we order by phone and bring it back for the freezer.

Karmels there is a great bar next door so yes, why not just walk in and order and go next door and relax while order gets ready, great entertainment on Friday evenings 4 till 8, definitely worth the drive, the food is great, they used to have chopsticks in the old part of town Girne a few years back and were very popular then, reason is Xi cooks all the food, and that is the same reason for wait, all food cooked fresh, oh and before anyone gets any ideas I have nothing to do with the bar or restaurant, just a customer of both

I remember ChopSticks well, Having lived in the north for over 20 years, But my question was < IF we walk in is it a take away or do you have to order > If the place is so popular and there is no counter service it should be stated telephone orders only.
I am not interested in sitting next door for 2 hour waiting for food.
I was only looking forwards to a take away if and when we are passing.
