I love Dr Turk, he is an amazing Doctor and has been brilliant with my family
I ALSO appreciate everything Nurse Chris Offord has done to promote The VIP and latterly The British Kolan,therefore, Dr Turk and ALL his staff.

I fully appreciate and understand all of the reasons for leaving and wholeheartedly agree BUT

Head well above the parapet now!! I do not agree with the manner of his secret departure or the disprepect that has been shown to all former working colleagues! Leaving them all completely in the dark!

I am not related, neither have I been asked to post this, I just hate to see such hurt and sadness with decent people who have worked very hard all together!

No doubt I will be hammered for saying this but there are ways and ways!

Following my mothers accident on Monday night I highly commend The British Kolan for their excellent care and professional service at 9pm !

How can I go and ask for my medical records NOW!

Walk in show your passport and walk out with your docs.
I support DR TURK.

Seemed a very nice man and a good Doctor. What has he done?

There is comment about our lovely Dr Turk leaving Kolan - but please can someone tell me where he has gone, which medical centre is he at now??? I would willingly move to him there.

I cannot see the post "Announcement from Dr Turk" on the medical & dental section. Where may I find it please?

Looks as though someone has removed it. There was a long posting from him, giving the reasons why he was leaving. Maybe the moderators could tell you?

If you look at the post concerned, it shows that the alterations have been made by Dr Turk himself. Whilst I feel very sorry for the staff at the Kolan, who have always been very polite and pleasant, if you have confidence in the doctor you have dealt with for some time, then it makes sense to transfer with him to a new practice. We have now done this without any problem. It also makes sense if you are undergoing treatment with the Near East Hospital as it makes co-ordination so much simpler.

The original posting by Dr Turk has been edited but not by the mods, as you can see it has been edited by Dr Turk himself.
As for "there's a surprise" I don't particularly understand the comment but it was as big a surprise to us!! (the mods)

Re Dr Turk Facts
1.My experience with Dr Turk was outstanding, he was quick to assess the danger I was in and rushed me into Kolan (Lefkosa) he is very straightforward, a lovely doctor/patient manner and his prompt action saved my life.
2. I also received excellant treatment at the Kolan Lefkosa
3. There no reason why any of us cannot stay with the Kolan, and also REGISTER with Dr Turk @ Near East then you have the choice if and when the need arises.
4. I have tremendous respect for Dr Turk and he must have had very valid reasons to do what he has done, i'm sure he is the kind of person who puts PATIENT care above all else.
5.Why have Kolan withdrawn BRS discount.
So all in all take a tip stay registered with Kolan, but also Register with Dr Turk
6. Competition in private medicine can only be good for the cost to the patient.
7. I will use both depending on the circumstance.
